A palette borrowed from mid-century studio ceramics, stacked into a column. Aqua at the top, mustard yellow in the middle, warm taupe at the base — three colours that shouldn't work together and do, because of the order they arrive in.
The taupe base is what makes it hold. It grounds the two brighter glazes above it and keeps the whole column from floating, so the aqua and mustard read as considered rather than playful. Thin darker discs mark each junction, giving the eye a place to rest between one colour and the next.
Each segment is thrown, kiln-fired, and glazed individually before being stacked and joined into a single form, which is why the colour can change mid-column at all. The glaze is fired glossy and deep, pooling and shifting subtly down each curve — no two lamps in the same colourway come out identical.
The column sits on a solid brushed metal base and is topped with a wide white linen drum shade that throws a soft, generous warm light.
This is the most conversational lamp in the series. It belongs in a room that already has a point of view.
