This is the highest-contrast lamp in the series, and the most graphic. Where the other Girgits blend or gradate, this one draws a hard line.
An ivory drum sits at the top, glazed glossy and clean. Below it, deep near-black segments hold the base and anchor the whole column to the surface. Between them, bright orange discs cut across the junctions — small, deliberate, the only warm note in an otherwise black-and-white composition, and the detail that keeps the lamp from reading as severe.
Unlit, it's almost architectural: a stacked column of light and dark that reads as form before it reads as a lamp. Lit, the ivory top catches the glow from the shade while the dark base stays grounded, so the contrast holds even when the room is warm.
Each segment is thrown, kiln-fired, and glazed individually before being stacked and joined into a single form. The glossy glaze pools and shifts subtly down each curve, so no two lamps in the same colourway come out identical.
The column sits on a solid brushed metal base and is topped with a wide white linen drum shade that throws a soft, generous warm light.
This is the one for a room with a strong point of view.
