Moro Table Lamp

The Moro began with an archway. Not a sketch of one, but a felt memory of the kind of doorway that makes you stop before you walk through it, the kind carved into monuments built to outlast everyone who made them.

The base rises like a tower, warm mahogany tapering upward from a black stepped plinth, and through its midsection two black architectural brackets wrap and interlock with the wood, a detail that is both structural and deeply ornamental. It is a lamp that carries history without announcing it.

Made to order in Toronto by local craftsmen. Mahogany wood with black lacquered details and a large black drum shade. Each piece is built on request, with a 2 to 3 week lead time.
